FUGAWI TRACKER can track multiple assets. Each remote vehicle, boat or plane will have their location indicated on a map at the base, as well as their heading and speed. The asset can be found on the map by clicking on the name and more detailed information about a remote asset can also be found just by clicking on it.

FUGAWI TRACKER FEATURES:

• Tracker is compatible with a wide variety of packaged digital maps. For those in the US, full street map coverage of the United States is included with FUGAWI TRACKER.
• Fugawi Tracker allows you to create your own maps for your area from scanned paper maps or other digital sources. This flexibility permits you to use a wide variety of maps depending on the location of the asset. (ie. topographical, marine, or street maps)
• The method of communicating from the asset will depend on the services that are available in your area and the type of application. The many possibilities include radio, packet messaging, analog cellular and digital PCS.
• Tracker provides the ability to accept data in real time. Data can be logged and displayed showing the track of the vehicle. Heading, speed and distance are also listed.
• Fugawi Tracker allows the user various optional features such as connectivity to interactive email pagers, cell telephone/GPS units, as well as application development and interface customization with other programs
• Tracker can be used for GPS navigation for outdoor recreational activities: hiking, boating, kayaking, skiing, fishing and hunting.
• A unique feature of FUGAWI TRACKER is that the remote asset or client software can control the icon that is displayed on the screen. The icon might flash, for example, to indicate emergency or other change in status.
• FUGAWI TRACKER can accept data via a serial connection or TCP/IP. Developers can create their own TCP/IP client to handle customized communications or features.

RADIO

• Amateur Packet Radio can be used to send GPS information over VHF signals.
• Some low cost TNC units such as the Kantronics KPC-3 Plus are supported by Fugawi.
• Each vehicle to have radio and a TNC. This is the lowest cost option for those with an existing radio communications network.

DIGITAL WIRELESS PHONES

FUGAWI offers a program that will handle automatic polling of the remote targets by telephone (digital wireless phone like GSM) as well.

Some digital phones can be connected without a modem which lowers the cost of the remote assets hardware. All that is needed in the vehicle is a digital phone and an appropriate GPS receiver. (Note that all GPS receivers will work in this configuration).

The only requirement is a digital phone that can connect to a computer through a serial port connection and an appropriate GPS receiver.

GSM WIRELESS

For areas where GSM phones prevail outside of North America the following solution can be used.

TCP/IP

Fugawi Tracker can accept asset information sent via TCP/IP. This can be used in two ways:

• Position information can be sent over the internet.
• Developers can write applications that handle the communications and send the messages to Fugawi within the same computer or over a network.
